On a sandwich, on top of pasta, or in lasagne--this is a good, basic, go-to recipe.
1 pound Gerome's sausage
1 pound ground meat (beef, veal, or a combination)
1/2 cup fresh romano or parmesan
3/4 cup oatmeal
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup water
1 stalk of celery, chopped fine
1 medium onion, chopped fine
5 cloves of garlic, minced
Dried basil and parsley
Mrs. Dash seasoning
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend all ingredients, being careful not to overwork the meat. Shape into balls and place on a cookie sheet; bake for one hour or until brown. and cooked through.
